Time is a thief
Time is a cheater
Time brings you grief
Time is a teacher
It makes you despair
And it's not always fair
Time stands still
While you pass it by
Time can make you cry
Bringing an emptiness you can't fulfill
It's always there
But you can never see it
Bringing back the pain you cannot bare
Why does it have to repeat?
Time has no mercy
Sometimes it can be your misery
Time plays tricks on you
Making you feel like a fool
It can leave you so damn blue
And it is sometimes so cruel
If time has the power to heal
Why is it as cold as steel?
Time is a thief
Time is a cheater
Time brings you grief
But time is also a good teacher
And its gates are wide open...
